Been There Done That-Three Times

What can I say? I seem to have this ill-advised attraction to assertive women. You know, the kind that can be violent in a good many cases. The first time was the time I was briefly married. Yeah, we'll skip by that one, and the next one too.

That third time was the one this song reminds me of, as the situation was so similar it's pretty damned eerie. The bit about looking out the window waiting for someone to pass by is especially surreal. I was really wanting to be with somebody else at the time, and still do. With my luck, of course, she would end up killing me.

This anime version takes the sting out of the song, which is Pulling Teeth by Green Day from the CD Dookie. Kind of cathartic, and even cool-which probably means I haven't learned my lesson yet.

"Is that why you like Sarah Palin?"

HaHaHaHa I KNEW somebody would say something like that. Well, I guess in the sense that she's independent minded and stuff, I guess that would apply to her, but as far as the assertiveness and aggressiveness goes, you could say that about any successful female politician.

Palin is unique among politicians. She's embodies what American leaders should be, people that rise up from the people at the local level and ascend to statewide and then national offices based on the merits of their talents, skills, and their accomplishments.

Most of the dipshits we have "leading" us now are born and bred to the Washington manor that is the halls of Congress.

"You're posting youtubes!!!"

Yeah, but I'm going to try not to get too carried away with it. I might play around with it for a while but I'll eventually hold it down to about one a week. I've got a special one planned for Mabon

"Do you just not want to check out Don's stuff?"

I might get around to it eventually, but it would have to be awful good stuff before I would post it.

My mom is hardcore democrat, and she likes Sarah Palin. She's dumb enough to believe the "Obama is a Muslim" emails, and is really torn on who to vote for. It's kind of funny listening to her.

Don Lewis's lessons in Wicca and Magick are really probably not that great that you would post them on this blog. He speaks really monotone and slow, and gives basic, basic lessons. I was just wondering what you thought, actually. I'll email you a couple of links.

Ren-

It all depends. I don't know that much about her. I don't agree with Palin on everything, but I do like that she is not a member of the "political class" and is close to the people. I also agree with her on a lot of things. I would ten times rather she make judicial appointments than Obama or Biden, or for that matter McCain.

To me, judges trumps anything and everything these days. A bad law that Congress or the president might pass can be changed relatively easily, and the damage eventually undone, hopefully.

A court decision is next to impossible to change. When it is changed it is usually the result of long decades, and comes about after decades of future court appointments or in some cases a constitutional amendment. It's not easy to undo the damage judges can do.

By the way, do you guys like the song and/or the anime?
