Seems fitting to remember this event that happened the day before Imbolc, fifty years ago today, February 1st, when four black college students in Greenboro North Carolina refused to not be served at the whites only lunch counter at Woolworth's.
Good thing Obama wasn't in this group, he probably would have bowed to the waiter.

He's trying to look humble, but ends up looking servile. I don't want him to act arrogant either, but some happy medium would be nice, especially when he meets foreign dignitaries.
Washington never wanted the presidency to descend to the level of a tyranny or monarchy, but he still wouldn't kowtow even to a governor of a state. Obama bows to mayors.
Imbolc is traditionally on the 2nd of February, same as Groundhog Day.
